Washington, D.C., September 2025 — The National Council of Hispanic Employment Program Managers (NCHEPM) has officially announced the Hispanic Heritage Month Theme 2025, accompanied by the release of the Winning Poster. Each year, NCHEPM guides the process of selecting a unifying theme that federal agencies, schools, and communities across the United States use to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 – October 15).

This year’s theme honors the rich heritage, resilience, and future contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities in the United States. Displaying the official poster is a meaningful way to celebrate the observance at workplaces, schools, cultural events, and government offices.

📖 The Legacy of Hispanic Heritage Month

Established in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon Johnson.

Expanded to a 30-day observance by President Ronald Reagan in 1988.

Officially enacted into law on August 17, 1988 (Public Law 100-402).

From September 15 to October 15, Americans celebrate the impact of Hispanic and Latino communities whose roots trace back to Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, and South America.
